What does aloha mean on a hat?
Aloha is Hawaiian for hello, goodbye, and love, and it carries the idea of treating people with warmth. On a hat it's less a slogan than a reminder to take the day a little slower.
What does pau hana mean?
Pau hana is Hawaiian for work is finished. It's what you say when the shift ends and you're heading to the water. That's the whole idea behind the Pau Hana Surf Co. patch.
What does pono mean?
Pono is Hawaiian for righteous, balanced, doing things the right way. Stay Pono is the shorthand.
Are these hats made in Hawaii?
No. We're a Southern California brand. The hats are manufactured in Myanmar and assembled in the USA. The Aloha line is our tribute to Hawaii, not a product of it, and we'd rather say so plainly.
What size are they?
One size. Adjustable snapback, fits roughly 54 to 60cm, which covers most adult heads. Youth sizing runs in two of the Aloha styles over in Youth Hats.
Which Aloha hat should I get first?
The plain Aloha patch in tan or black is the one that goes with everything. Aloha Flower is the one people stop you about. Rainbow Aloha is the loud one, on purpose.
Do you make matching kids and adult Aloha hats?
